Study while you work
As a Queensland Government employee, you are encouraged to enhance your career by further education – while you work.
Through the Study and Research Assistance Scheme (SARAS), you may be entitled to receive leave assistance and up to 100% of the upfront payment of HECS and/or time off to study or attend exams.
Provided the studies contribute to the achievement of departmental goals, you can undertake learning and development which:
- develop capabilities for current and future roles
- meet specific work needs
- develop your personal skills for careers in this department, and
- develop your personal skills for application within the Queensland Public Service generally.
